- Hello everyone, my name is Steven. I am currently a student of Ahuntsic College in Montreal, Quebec. A college is an education institution offering people to go to their career. My programs right now is Springboard DEC. Springboard DEC is a program that let you explore different career and obtain the prerequisite (s) you need to meet the admission requirements of a program of study. The purpose of this glossary is gathering some knowledge about civil engineering and it has also picked my interest.

- definition 1: A landscape formed from the dissolution of soluble rocks such as limestone, dolomite, and gypsum.
- term 2: mullion
- definition 2: It's a vertical element that divide a window.
- term 3: abiosestron
- definition 3: It's a non-living particulate matter in lakes and oceans.
- term 4: rabbet
- definition 4:It's a recess or groove cut into the edge of a piece of machinable material, usually wood.
- term 5: quoin
- definition 5:It's a mansory blocks at the corner of a wall.
- term 6: pyroclastic
- definition 6:It's a clastic rocks composed solely or primarily of volcanic materials.
- term 7: caisson
- definition 7:A watertight retaining structure used, for example, to work on the foundations of a bridge pier, for the construction of a concrete dam, or for the repair of ships.

- definition 8:A vessel used for heating low-pressure hot water.

- definition 9: A device used to measure the distance between two opposite sides of an object.

- definition 10: A cage, cylinder, or box filled with rocks, concrete, or sometimes sand and soil for use in civil engineering, road building, military applications and landscaping.

- definition 16:A type of timber commonly used in furniture applications.
- term 17: mainshock
- definition 17:The largest magnitude recorded in a series of earthquakes.

- definition 18:A fluid emitted by an organism through pores or a wound, a process known as exuding.

- definition 19:A process whereby waste material is subjected to thermal degradation.
- term 20: hysteresis
- definition 20:The delay or lag in response by an object to a change in the force that acts upon it.
